DANCING LOFTS
Form: Dancing Lofts explores the geometric transformation from circle to square through an assembly of lofted units that coalesce into a dynamic, undulating composition. Each cell projects directionally from circle to square logic, while contributing to a larger choreography of overlapping volumes that dance across the wall plane.
Material: Constructed from clear cedar strips bound with waxed linen thread, the piece draws from traditional lashing techniques found in basketry and vernacular wood structures. The exposed joinery celebrates the hand-craft of binding, creating a skeletal framework that casts intricate shadows and reveals the structural rhythm of the assembled form.
